Abstract: This study discusses the conservation of Cemara Beach, Pakis Village, Banyuwangi District, Banyuwangi Regency 2015-2020. The problems studied include: (1) What was the background to the environmental conservation of Cemara Beach in 2015-2020? (2) What was the role of KUB in managing the environmental conservation of Cemara Beach in 2015-2020, (3) What impacts did the environmental conservation of Cemara Beach have in 2015-2020?. This writing used a historical method which includes heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The approach used in this research is an environmental sociology and conservation theory. Based on the research results, it is known that the conservation of Cemara Beach was motivated by the environmental conditions of the coastal area which experienced damage. Mokh Muhyi was concerned about the condition of Cemara Beach, so he cleaned the beach and planted pine trees. In 2015, Mokh. Muhyi invited the community to form a Joint Business Group (KUB) and be approved by the Pakis Village, aimed at preventing damage and rehabilitating the beach by planting pine trees. Even though there were pros and cons with the surrounding community, this activity remained consistent in efforts to rehabilitate pine planting. In the end, planting pine trees resulted in 19,000 trees growing abundantly, filling an area of 10.2 ha along the coast of Cemara Beach. This activity received a positive response from the government. In 2020, the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia gave appreciation to KUB Pantai Cemara for their activities carried out as evidenced by the presentation of a KALPATARU award certificate. The impact of the conservation at Cemara Beach is to foster an attitude of mutual cooperation between communities around the beach and also the creation of a green, clean and beautiful beach area.
