Blasting in mining activities at PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral's XYZ pit aims to provide cover material or overburden into a size that matches the capacity of the loading and digging equipment used. In this study, detonation geometry data was taken which were differentiated based on the type of explosive and the location of the XYZ coal pit seam interburden. The types of explosives used in this study were ANFO and Emulsion. This study uses two fragmentation calculation methods, namely Kuz-Ram theoretical and Split Desktop software. Analysis of Kuz-Ram theoretically yields a greater percentage value of material estimating sieve than the computational results of Split Desktop software. The fragmentation of the blasting results is then associated with the digging time of PC 2000. There is a trend of increasing digging time when the percentage of material escapes is small. The ultimate goal of this study is to provide recommendations in the form of proposed geometry improvements. Proposed geometric calculations using the theories of C.J. Konya, R.L. Ash, and ICI Explosives. The calculation geometry of R.L. Ash's theory is compared with the actual geometry of the field, which will then be selected geometry with the use of the most optimal powder factor which produces a fragmentation percentage above 100 cm below 5 percent. Detonation with ANFO explosives at seam 6 interburden locations is recommended to keep using actual geometry while seam 52, 4U1, 4U2, and 4SE interburden locations use R.L. Ash geometry. While blasting with emulsion on all coal seam interburden using the geometry proposed by R.L. Ash.en_US
