The use of learning models that are not suitable creates a monotonous learning atmosphere and rarely evaluates student creativity so that students' creative thinking skills are low, it can be seen from the midterm assessment score data (PTS) that many students score below the KKM. Therefore, the use of appropriate learning models to improve students' creative thinking skills needs to be implemented, one of which is the project based learning (PJBL) model. This study aimed to determine whether or not there was an effect of the PJBL model on the creative thinking abilities of fifth grade elementary school students. The research uses quantitative methods with experimental research types, applying a quasi-experimental research pattern and a non-equivalent control group research design . This research has a number of research subjects of 64 students of class V elementary school. The research subjects were divided into an experimental class and a control class with 32 students in each class. This study has a value of degrees of freedom (df) 62, so that the t table is at the sig. 0.05 is 1.998. The results of the research through a series of testing processes showed a result of 10.6 > 1.998, so t count > t table at the sig level. 0.05. These results explain that H0 is not accepted and Ha is accepted. Based on this explanation, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of the PJBL model on the creative thinking abilities of fifth grade elementary school students. The use of the PJBL model in the experimental class showed an effectiveness value of 88% compared to the control class which did not apply the PJBL model.
