A femoral fracture is a fracture of the femur. One of the common symptoms of femoral fractures is pain, which is caused by damage to bone, soft tissue, and inflammation. The pain process involves complex neurological responses, including the release of pain mediators and nerve stimulation. After femoral fracture surgery, the problem that arises is acute pain. Acute pain can be caused by severe bleeding, bone swelling, deformity, and damaged cells will degranulate cells and release chemical neurotransmitters that travel to nociceptors which then travel to the spinal cord and cortex. The purpose of the final project report is expected to explore nursing care in post op femoral fracture patients with acute pain nursing problems. The method used is a case report of a post op femoral fracture patient with acute pain problems in the Asparaga ward of RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang. Nursing care will be carried out on May 27 - May 30, 2023. Data collection is done through interviews, observation, physical examination and documentation. The results showed that Mr. B, a 55-year-old man, with acute pain nursing problems characterized by patients complaining of pain in surgery, patients appearing to grimace, patients being protective (avoiding painful positions), restlessness, disturbed thought processes, self-focus, diaphoresis and having difficulty sleeping. The intervention provided by the author is the finger hold relaxion action. This action is carried out for 3 days with a time of 15 minutes with a frequency of therapy 1 time / day. The results of the intervention showed a decrease in pain intensity to mild on day 3. Finger hold relaxation is significant in reducing patient pain. Of the 19 pain management interventions, only 10 interventions can be implemented in patients. From these results, it is hoped that this author will help patients to perform the finger hold relaaxion technique which is useful for reducing pain, reducing feelings of panic, worry, and increasing blood flow.en_US
