Abstract: Lead is one of the hazardous heavy metals found in the numerous chemical fertilizers and pesticides used by Indonesians. The use of this chemical component may increase the chance of lead accumulation in plants. Lead has an impact on organisms across the food chain. Bioremediation can use rhizosphere bacteria, which support plant growth. Actinomycetes, Azotobacter sp., Azospirillum sp., Rhizobium sp., Pseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Bacillus sp., and Streptomyces sp. are among the bacteria that have been proven to lower lead content. These bacteria, which are found in organic fertilizer, may accumulate heavy metals in soil. This study attempts to determine whether rice plants can endure in lead-contaminated environments and whether consortium rhizobacteria may prevent lead accumulation in rice plants. According to the findings, adding consortium rhizobacteria to the rice plants' treatment had a substantial impact on the root length, fresh weight, dry weight, chlorophyll content, production of ROS and MDA, and lead concentration. The addition of the rhizobacteria consortium can reduce the lead content in rice plants up to 45%.
