Abstract: Soybean crop is cultivated cash crops and upland rice dilahan . Reality on the ground shows that soybean demand in 2004 reached 2.02 million tons , while domestic production of 0.71 million tons of new and imported forced shortcomings . Ranges from approximately 35 % of the total demand can be met from domestic production . Economic and social consequences of the scarcity presented soybean feel would greatly disrupt the economy and food security of the people . Jember is a regency potential as a store of food commodities in East Java . One of the food product is a soybean seed with traits agribusiness commodities . This fact leads to the study of the behavior of soy agribusiness want to see marketing and distribution channel structure in the soybean market behavior Jember . The results found that by marketing distribution analysis turns out soy products more open ( minimum barried to entry ) rather than rice and corn products . Factors inhibiting market only psychological factor of market players who are still using custom mediator ( mediator ) in the transaction activity of soy products . While based on the behavior of market structure analysis shows that that the soybean market structure is not perfectly competitive . Elasticity of the elastic transmission coefficients provide exposure bahwasannya soybean prices are influenced by supply.
