Analisis Peran dan Karakteristik Perkembangan Sektor Pertanian dalam Perekonomian di Kabupaten Lumajang

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the economic sectors or business fields that contribute to economic growth. The main supporters of Lumajang Regency’s economic growth are agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors. This study aims at 1) determine the economic position of the agricultural sector base and the shift in share of the agricultural sector, 2) to know the agricultural subsector identified as the basis subsector and the characteristics of its development, 3) as to determine the multiplier impact of the agricultural sector in Lumajang Regency. The method used in this study is analytic and descriptive. This study also uses the secondary data with Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDRP) as main data. The analysis method used is LQ analysis, Shift Share analysis, localization analysis, and multiplier analysis (BSR, RM, SM dan LM). The result showed that 1) agricultural sector consistently was the base sector in Lumajang Regency from 2014 to 2018 and the shift in the share of the agricultural sector in Lumajang Regency consisted of three components, namely National Share, Proportional Shift with a negative value and Differential Shift with a positive value, 2) the agricultural subsector base are horticultural crop subsector, plantation crops subsector, livestock subsector and agricultural and hunting services subsector and the agricultural subsector business in Lumajang Regency is not concentrated in one area, 3) agricultural subsectors in Lumajang Regency was able to provide a continuous multiplier impact from 2014 to 2018.
