Abstract: Metabolite profiling by Gass Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS) method provides robust data on a plant's metabolome quickly and finely. This study aimed to determine the potential metabolites in Arumanis mango leaf extract (Mangifera indica L.) as an antibacterial to Staphylococcus epidermidis. Preparation of leaf extract utilizing ethanol maceration and paste extract for GC-MS. Inhibition effect on Staphylococcus epidermidis conducted by The Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) test used leaf extracts serial concentration (1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5%), chloramphenicol 0.1% as a positive control, and aqua dest as a negative control, respectively. The results showed that Arumanis mango leaf extract contains primary metabolites such as alcohol derivatives, amino acids, and fatty acids and secondary metabolites such as phenols, flavonoids, terpenes, and steroids which have antibacterial activity. The most abundant secondary metabolites were phenols (79,92%) containing Quinic acid. Arumanis mango leaf extract strongly inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis with a Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of 2%. This proof contributed to empirical data for Arumanis leaf extract as an antibacterial alternative.
