Abstract: The existence of limestone mining can have negative impacts, one of which is air pollution which can disrupt public health, especially children. this can cause anxiety that is felt by parents when their child is sick. This study aims to identify how the anxiety level of parents in children with respiratory disorders. The research design in this study used descriptive methods and a samples was 31 parents using total sampling technique. The measurement tool used is the Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that 17 (45.2%) parents have a moderate level of anxiety. The results of identifying parents' anxiety levels on psychological response indicators obtained as many as 23 (74%) respondents in the moderate category and as many as 8 (25%) respondents in the mild category. The results of the identification of parents' anxiety levels on physiological response indicators obtained as many as 18 (58%) respondents in the moderate category and as many as 13 (41%) respondents in the mild category. The conclusion of this study is that the level of anxiety of parents in children with respiratory problems in the limestone mining area, more precisely in Grenden Village, is in the moderate category. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to related indicators so that parents can better overcome or control the anxiety they experience so that they can focus more on caring for their children.
