dc.description.abstractChildbirth is an important event, but also identical as a terrible thing for a mother. This can cause uncertainty for pregnant women about themselves to be able to facing childbirth. Self-efficacy in childbirth refers to the pregnant women's belief in her own ability to cope with the birth process. Therefore, it is necessary to measure pregnant women’s self-efficacy in facing childbirth to enable the design of appropriate interventions. This research is quantitative descriptive study with cross sectional method. The sample in this study were 107 pregnant women without indications and planning for section caesarean. The data were collected using the Indonesian version of Childbirth Self-efficacy Inventory (CBSEI) C-32 questionnaire with accidental sampling technique at Ledokombo Public Health Center. Univariate data analysis was used to describe each variable characteristic in the form of a frequency distribution and central tendency. The average age of pregnant women was 20-35 years, most of them did not work (65.4%) with the last level of education in elementary school (33.6%) and never received or sought information about childbirth (57%). Most of the respondents were primiparous (35%) with an average gestational age of 14-27 weeks (44, 9%). Based on research data, it was found that 77.6% of pregnant women had good self-efficacy, 22.4 % of them had sufficient self-efficacy, and there were no one who had less self-efficacy in facing childbirth. The conclusion of this study showed the self-efficacy of pregnant women in facing childbirth at the Ledokombo Public Health Center is in the good category.en_US
