dc.description.abstractAndre Aciman’s Call Me by Your Name (2007) novel tells about the two Jews main characters that lived in Italy in 20th century, Elio and Oliver. The writer aims to explore how Aciman as a part of Modern Jewish portrays his group world view. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The writer would explain the findings obtained based on reading, analyzing, and marking the sentences or quotations related to the issues in Call Me by Your Name novel. This research uses Lucien Goldmann’s theory of Genetic Structuralism. The results of this study showed that as a part of Modern Jewish which at outset support homosexuality, Aciman shows his supporting through the acceptance of homosexual. However, in the end of the story Oliver will be married with his girlfriend which portrays the Modern Jewish’s world view that prohibits the homosexuality.en_US
