Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic at the end of 2019 caused a lot of losses for all countries, one of which was Indonesia. These losses cover all aspects of life, especially education. This also happened at the Nurul Islam Islamic boarding school in Jember district after the Covid-19 pandemic for 3 years. There are so many problems that arise due to the tense conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic, such as maintaining the immunity of the students' immune system to not think too much about the Covid virus and giving understanding to the guardians of students who are worried about their children. From there, a new culture emerged in the pesantren by getting used to implementing regulations from caregivers and from the government. And thus, it is hoped that this research will be able to add insight to the reader about how the mechanism of pesantren in building trust during the covid-19 pandemic, especially in the Nuris Islamic boarding school, Jember district. This study uses a review of the habitus theory proposed by Pierre Bourdieu. Then, this study uses qualitative research. Which uses porpossive sampling as a method of determining informants. The results of this study are that there are many capitals that build the trust of the guardians of santri, starting from the social capital of the kyai's relationship with the community, the symbolic capital of the kyai's big name, to cultural capital where new habits emerge.
