Perilaku Caring Perawat pada Pasien dengan Disabilitas : Kajian Literatur

Abstract

Caring is the basis of the nursing behavior in giving caringness, aid, nurture, and support during the nursing intervention so that the higher extent of healthiness obtained with the regard to feelings and relevant to morals and human aspect. The caring behavior of the nurse is showed with the appreciation and acceptance of the patient’s condition even to the disabled one. The purpose of this study was to analyze the caring behavior of the nurse to disabled patients. The research used a narative literature review. The search article used 4 databases encompass Google Scholar, Proquest, PubMed, and Science Direct which the literature published between January 2012 – December 2020. The selection of articles used PRISMA flowchart which includes 4 stages encompass identification, screening, eligibility and incuded the specified inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research found 10 articles. The articles were 6 qualitative studies and 4 descriptive analytics. Those articles explained the form of activity, the difficulties, and strategy in the caring behavior to disabled patients. The caring behavior of nurses was showed in the good caring behavior and poor caring behavior of the disabled patients. The nurse found difficulties during the caring activity, so the strategy to improve the caring behavior of the nurse was needed such as the awareness of the nurse in understanding the importance of build therapeutic relationships, training and the support from the organization. The recommendation of this study is the application of caring behavior of nurses to disabled patients strongly needs organization support and awareness of the nurse.
