dc.description.abstractThis study discusses the description of mise en scene in the film Imperfect. This film tells about women's anxiety where they feel there is a standard of beauty that they must achieve, various factors from family or society that make these beauty standards exist. This study uses data analysis techniques that do not play a role, recording, and literature study. descriptive qualitative, because the researcher processes and analyzes data from scenes which in this study were obtained from films as well as the theory of mise en scene and Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis. The results of this study are that there is a change in the personality of the main character when the ego that previously carried out the needs of the id slowly begins to carry out the needs of the superego. These personality changes are represented visually through mise en scene and Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis regarding the personality structure consisting of the id, ego, superego.en_US
