dc.description.abstractEnglish is used as a cumpolsory subject in every level of education, both in teaching as a second language or as a foreign language. There are four skills that have to be considered in learning English, which are reading, listening, speaking and writing. From all those four skills, reading is become the most important skills that have to be mastered. The reader can be classified as a succesful reader if they can engaged with reading. As a foreign language, English has its own difficulties for the students. They do not use English as a tool for daily communication and only taught at school. Therefore, based on the preliminary study it was known that the students were lack of vocabulary ability and do not have a good knowledge and proficiency in English.en_US
