Abstract: | Emergency services are services whose handling must be fast and precise in determining the emergency priorities of patient so that disability and death can be prevented and minimized. One of indicator of the quality service is in the form of response time. It is the length of time spent to handle the patient which is calculated since the patien enters the treatment room until the receives treatment. Meanwhile, triage is the sorting method toward patient's emergency situation that determines the priority of advenced treatment. The objective of this research is to find out the description of the of response and the triage time at Emergency Room at Regional General Hospital Doctor Koesnadi Bondowoso. The research employers quantitatif descriptive method, where there is two variable , response time and triage time. The population of this research is the health providers (doctors and nurses) who serve at the Emergency Room at Regional General Hospital Doctor Koesnadi Bondowoso. Numbering 9 doctors and 26 nurses as the sample. The instruments the research is observation sheets. The results regarding of response time at Emergency Room Regional General Hospital Doctor Koesnadi Bondowoso reveals the average time of 2.33 minutes, the quickest response time is recorded at morning shift whith the average time 2,13 minutes and the longest response time is recorded at the night shift with the average of 2.45 minutes, The average triage at the Emergency Room of Regional General Hospital Doctor Koesnadi Bondowoso is 3,89 minutes, the quickest triage is recorded at the morning shift at 3,72 minutes, meanwhile the longest is recorded at the night shift at 3,96 minutes. In essence, thae faster the patient’s handling, the risk of getting worse the patient’s condition will be reduced and the speed and accuracy in sorting the patient must be according to the conditions when he first came to the emergency room. Health workes in the emergency room with a severe and critical emergency level get top priority treatment quickly and precisely compared to patients who come with the condition. |
