dc.description.abstractWater is an essential component for success in agriculture, especially for plant growth. The use of water in crop cultivation often does not account for the actual amount needed by plants. Adding organic materials to the soil is one solution to improve water use efficiency for plants. The compost used in this study is goat manure in granular and bulk forms. The variables measured include the water-holding capacity of the growing media, media weight, media moisture, plant height, number of leaves, and fresh weight. This research uses pak choi plants to assess their growth. There are differences in water retention capacity between the two types of compost. The results of the study showed that bulk compost could retain water for 25 days, while granular compost retained water for 24 days. The plant height with bulk compost was 20 cm, while with granular compost, the average height was 15 cm. The number of leaves in bulk compost was 16, compared to 15 in granular compost. Productivity, measured by the fresh weight of the plants, resulted in 40.33 grams for bulk compost and 34.83 grams for granular composten_US
