Pengembangan Modul Pembelajaran IPA berbasis Potensi Lokal Desa Grenden pada Materi Sistem Pencernaan untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Siswa SMP
Abstract
Problem solving ability is one of the abilities that must be mastered by
students in learning science. In fact, most students still lack mastery of problem
solving skills as evidenced by some previous research and interview results. The
purpose of this research is to produce a valid, practical, and effective science
learning module based on the local potential of Grenden Village to improve
students' problem solving skills. This research is a development research or
Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model (Analyze,
Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The location and time of this study
were at Sultan Agung Puger Junior High School in the odd semester of the
2024/2025 school year. The research subjects used were 8B class students totaling
22 students. The results showed that the science learning module based on the local
potential of Grenden Village obtained an average validity value from the three
validators of 82.12% which was included in the practical category. The practicality
of using the module in science learning obtained a value of 85.13% so that it was
included in the practical category. The effectiveness of using the module to improve
students' problem solving skills through tests obtained a pretest value of 41.53 and
a posttest value of 78.90 with a total N-gain value of 0.63 so that it is included in
the moderate category. The effectiveness of using the module is also obtained from
the student response questionnaire which obtained an average score of 87.72 so
that it is included in the very good category. The conclusion that can be drawn from
the results of the study is that the science learning module based on the local
potential of Grenden Village has met the criteria of valid, practical, and effective
use to improve students' problem solving skills.
