Peningkatan Kapasitas Mantan Buruh Migran Melalui Pelatihan Kewirausahaan Binaan Migrant Care di Desa Ambulu Jember

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems faced by former migrant workers. These problems include weak individual skills, economic factors. This is also felt by the community, especially those who are former migrant workers. In Ambulu Village, Jember Regency, when former migrant workers return to Indonesia, they need a place to develop and empower their potential. Continuous empowerment of former migrant workers such as soft skills training and entrepreneurship training is very suitable as a solution to improve the welfare of former migrant workers, especially in the economic sector. This study aims to determine the capacity building of former migrant workers through entrepreneurship training assisted by migrant care in Ambulu Village, Jember. Method The research used is qualitative with descriptive research type. Determination The place in this research used the purposive area method, namely Ambulu Village Jember Regency. The technique for determining informants uses purposive sampling. Technique data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. Technique checking the validity of the data using extended observations, improvements persistence, and triangulation. The triangulation used is source and time triangulation and technique. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and verification data. The research results illustrate that there is an increase in capacity (ability and knowledge) owned by former miran workers in Ambulu Village, Jember Regency after attending training provided by Migrant Care. The conclusion of this study is that there has been an increase in the capacity (knowledge and skills) of former migrant workers thanks to the training provided by Migrant Care. This increase can be felt in both the economic and social sectors.
