dc.description.abstractThe development of this industrial sector is a function of the basic goal of people's welfare. The spatial concentration approach in national and regional policies in the industrial sector is capable of promoting product specialization and enhancing the efficiency and productivity of the industrial sector which will certainly have a positive impact on economic growth. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of spatial concentration and analyze the factors that influence spatial concentration sub-sector of food, beverage and tobacco industries in Jember District. Methods of data collection is a method of documentation sourced from BPS and Disperindag Jember District. The analysis used is Herfindhal index and Multiple Linear Regression using panel data that is 2011-2015. Based on the analysis, it is known that the spatial concentration of the food, beverage and tobacco industries sub-sector in Jember Regency is located in Wuluhan Subdistrict, Ambulu Subdistrict, and Kalisat Subdistrict. From the results of multiple linear regression data panel concluded that the variable level of competition, agglomeration strength, and population density have a significant positive effect on the concentration sub-sector of the food, beverage and tobacco industries in Jember District.en_US
