dc.description.abstractHealth status is one of the most influential factors in improving the quality of human resources either normal people or people with disabilities. One of efforts to improve health degree is through Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) of Family Management. Mother is a primary target to be able teach five indicators of PHBS of Family Management for a blind child which includes: utilizing clean water; washing hands with soap and clean water; using healthy lavatory; eating fruits and vegetables every day and the implementation of physical activities every day. The type of this research is phenomenological. Data were collected by conducting in-depth interviews about the characteristics, knowledge, attitudes and role of mother, and supported with observation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and obtained 8 informants. Data analysis technique used was thematic content analysis method and also the use of triangulation method and sources. Based on the results of in-depth interviews, it was known that most of mothers did not take formal education and worked as farmers with income between ten thousand rupiahs up to seventeen thousand rupiahs. Most mothers had less knowledge with attitude of agreement and In general, mother had lack of roles in order to apply the five indicators of PHBS of family management to blind children, so that these roles need to be increased again.en_US
