dc.description.abstractHomosexuality is romantic and sexual attraction or sexual behavior between members of the same gender of sex. Sexual lifestyles of homosexual is effected by social environtment and culture. Sexual behavior of homosexual included getting anal sex without using condom and having multiple sexual partners that can increased risk of STIs and HIV/AIDS transmission. The objective of this research is to describe factors related becoming homosexuals and risk of STIs and HIV/AIDS transmission. This research was applied by quantitative research methods, descriptive-designed and cross sectional-approached. The numbers of samples of this research were 89 homosexual (gay, “kucing”, transgender). The data were collected by using questionairres then described verbally, mathematically and graphically. The results showed that most of homosexual was in 20-30-aged, junior high schoolungraduated until senior high school and worked in beauty business and entertainment. Print media (magazine, poster, leaflet, newspaper, booklet) and electronic media (handphone, television, radio, and ipad, and computer) was used and peer group conducted men becoming homosexual. Attitude and patterns of parenting was not related becoming homosexual. It also proved by respondents that they did unsafe sexual lifestyle (multiple sexual partners, oral sex, anal sex, and unconsistency in the use of condoms and lubricant). This condition is also found at three respondents that indicated positive HIV/AIDS. It is expected to homosexual to increase awareness of risk behavior that can be of STIs and HIV/AIDS transmissions by focused has incarier and education.en_US
